Piolo Pascual: ‘I’m happy na wala ako’ng kaaway’

It seems Piolo Pascual and Judy Ann Santos are bound to cross paths again as they are both included in the guest list of Ogie Alcasid’s showbiz anniversary concert this month. Contrary to the circulating rumors, however, the country’s ultimate heartthrob has no problem dealing with his former onscreen partner. He even reiterates the fact that he recently bumped into Judy Ann and her fiancé, Ryan Agoncillo, during a connecting flight at the Dubai airport. “Nagkasabay kami ng flight galing ng Paris (for the 6th Paris Cinema Festival). Nagkasabay kami sa Dubai at nagkasalubong pa kami sa linya. We exhanged hi’s and hello’s and that's it. Wala kaming issues,” he states in the recently-concluded Ponds Dream Date event.

Despite his noncommittal statement, it seems that his friendship with Judy Ann during the peak of their kilig team-up will never be the same. This is in line with his controversial rift with Ryan who’s reportedly jealous of him back in 2006—the year wherein Piolo and Judai revived their team-up both on the boob tube (Sa Piling Mo) and the silver screen (Don’t Give Up On Us). Perhaps to defuse further intrigues, Piolo points out that they have just gone separate ways. “Natural lang naman na you grow apart and at the same time I’m happy dun sa buhay niya. Kung ano man ang meron si Judai, I’m happy na masaya sila, hanggang dun lang,” he stresses.

Their multitude of fans though can’t help but miss the two’s undeniable onscreen chemistry. Given a chance, will Piolo consider working with Judai again? “Ah yes, I’m very open. I never closed my doors with anyone especially with Judai. Bahala na lang kung mangyayari yun kung kalian,” he quickly replies. At any rate, he insists that such a career move isn’t for him to make. “Ako I’m just waiting kung ano’ng trabaho ibigay sa akin ng ABS-CBN. And I’m happy na wala akong kaaway, na okay kami,” he continues to say. “We can only pray for it. If it’s gonna happen, it’s gonna happen. So tignan na lang natin. I’m sure naman that the network knows (what’s best for us).” - Abs-Cbn.com

Ryan Agoncillo on Piolo Pascual and Robin Padilla: ‘Different people, different reasons, different issues all together’

During the Pieta presscon last October 21, di naiwasan ni Ryan Agoncillo na matanong tungkol sa mga lalaking naugnay sa kanyang girlfriend na si Judy Ann Santos. Lalo pa tungkol sa comment na binigay ni Robin Padilla tungkol sa kanilang kasal. “You know, ‘yung sa akin nagsalita na si Juday and when I got to hear the whole issue ah, I knew I was gonna get asked about it at one point or another. Sa akin ang importante nagsalita na si Juday. Ah, nasabi na niya ang gusto niyang sabihin. Gusto na niyang tapusin ang issue. I think the lady’s words in this case are the most important. Sa akin, nabasa ko lahat ‘yan.” Sa tingin niya nagbibiro lang si Robin nu’ng may sinabi siya about Judy Ann? “You know, I mean, ako kasi Robin is Robin. Sa totoo lang, dumaan lang siya,. nabasa ko. Dumaan lang siya. I think there are better things in life.”
