Anne Curtis is still overwhelmed by her Best

Actress win at the recently concluded Metro Manila Film Festival. She won for her performance in the movie "Baler", where she starred opposite Jericho Rosales. "Sobrang ibang klase 'yung happiness," Anne said happily during her interview on The Buzz yesterday, January 4. "Iba 'yung fulfillment, 'yung extreme happiness. Surreal na nga siya kasi sobrang akong happy na hindi ko na siya ma-explain."

The actress also revealed that her former boyfriend, actor Sam Milby, congratulated her on her achievement. "Congratulations lang," she answered when guest-host AiAi delas Alas asked her about the message that Sam sent her. "At least he still greeted me naman," Anne further explained. "Hindi naman siya 'yung unang nag-text. Actually the next day na siya nag-text. Hindi naman ako na-hurt. Okay lang naman."

Meanwhile, Anne said that she is currently loveless and that she has no suitors. But she said that she is not bitter about this because her focus now is her work. Her efforts on her career have paid off when she won for Baler. "At least I'm happy. Ibang happiness naman ang nakakarating sa akin ngayon, through my work. So okay din naman 'yon. It keeps me busy. Tapos alam kong dadating din naman 'yung para sa akin. Sa tamang panahon pa siguro," Anne confessed. "Bahala na siguro si Lord kung anong bibigay Niya sa akin, at kung ano'ng dapat sa akin and alam kong dadating din naman 'yon."

Anne also emphasized that she is not going to be choosy of her future roles just because she has an acting award. What is important to her is that she is enjoying what she is doing. "Gusto ko rin naman ang ginagawa ko, so kung anuman ang dadating sa akin. If I know na kaya kong gawin, gagawin ko. I love what I do. Sobrang enjoy ako sa trabaho.” When asked about her dream roles, Anne said she is looking forward to more challenging characters. "Off beat characters. More of something challenging in a way… na psycho. Mentally-challenged. Something na hindi ko pa nagagawa sana." -Source: Abs-Cbn.com

Who bares his sexy body? December-January issue of Metro Magazine

It’s not enough that his gigantic, sizzling hot billboards along EDSA already have you captivated; the country’s hottest heartthrob also has the distinction of being the only male celebrity deemed worthy of being Metro Magazine’s cover model. In the December-January issue of Metro, heartthrob Piolo Pascual talks about his life, love, and just about everything in between. “Every good thing that has happened to me has been possible because of the Lord. I have been so blessed and I feel truly grateful for everything that has been given to me,” he says in the Metro cover story interview. The 31-year old, who is also starring in the Star Cinema 2009 opening film "Love Me Again", also shows his philanthropic side. “There is no doubt that I wish to give back to the Lord and to our country. I am not sure what will happen five to 10 years from now, but what I do know is that whatever I do, it will be for the glory of God,” he adds.

Piolo also tells Metro what his plans are after show business. “I want to be a missionary. I will spread the Word all around the Philippines and eventually to other countries.” This plan is also connected to whom he eventually wants to settle down with in life. “I wish to marry a woman who is in the mission field. I will be perfectly content with a simple life,” he says.
